Integrative Psychiatry, Educator
I practice integrative psychiatry. Integrative psychiatry focuses on working collaboratively with clients to help obtain and maintain health. My lens—how my work is informed—is holistic and cohesive. Individual care is always best provided within the context of the bigger picture which includes mental health, medical health, nutrition, life experience, traumas, family dynamics, any school or career disruptions, and cultural forces.
I offer treatment approaches that include medication management, nutrition and overall health evaluations, herbs and supplements, meditation and mindfulness-based practices, breathing exercises, and certain psychotherapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. |
I am currently not accepting new patients.
I have a special interest in working with women in various stages of their development and careers to address burnout, perfectionism, anger, worry, and wellness. I also enjoy working with young adults who are transitioning to college, careers, and serious relationships and who are learning to "adult."
I have expertise in utilizing alternative and complementary modalities to boost health and well-being. I currently do not work with individuals to "get off medications" unless it is appropriate to their situation.
I work with individuals to manage ADHD, depression, and anxiety disorders. I currently do not work with psychosis, problematic substance abuse, or Bipolar Disorder unless it is very well managed.
